Bradley Mitchell - the Conservative choice for the Highfield Ward by-election

Bradley Mitchell has been chosen as the Conservative Candidate for Highfield.

At the upcoming by-election, Conservative members of Highfield have picked Bradley Mitchell to be their candidate.

The by-election follows the sad passing of Lily Henderson MBE. She served Blackpool with great dedication over several decades and at 94 she was the oldest councillor in the country. Lily’s tireless volunteering and fundraising resulted in her being the recipient of an MBE in 2005.

Bradley said,

‘It means so much to be selected to represent the Conservatives in Highfield. I am passionate about Blackpool having lived here my whole life and I want to serve my community and make it a better place to live.

‘This election is an opportunity to send a message to the Labour-run Council over a variety of issues including the 4.99% council tax increase, the rejected petition to reopen the airport, and the deterioration of our local streets.’

Callum Catterall, Chairman of the Blackpool South Conservative Association, added,

‘Bradley will provide an energetic approach to the challenges that Highfield faces. And he will be a strong voice for the community, putting the interests of local people first.’

The by-election is scheduled to take place on Thursday 6th May.
