We’re working to get Blackpool Airport back on track, so that it can be an engine room for jobs and growth in our area.
The Airport site has been turned into an Enterprise Zone- giving support to local businesses to encourage them to set up in the site that includes Blackpool Airport, Blackpool Retail Park, Blackpool Business Park, and surrounding land.
And now, the Government is investing £7.5 million as part of Blackpool’s Town deal to upgrade the infrastructure in the area- unlocking more land for development and creating 5,000 jobs for local people across the enterprise zone.
But I don’t want to stop there. Which is why I am campaigning to see Blackpool Airport reopened for passenger flights. To boost our local economy and make it easier for residents to travel. So, we’re making progress. And with big investment in the pipeline, the by election on 2nd May is a chance to lock in our progress and secure more jobs opportunities for local people. Only me, the Conservative candidate will work with the government to keep our progress going. The Reform Party won’t deliver for Blackpool- they’re just using our community to promote themselves and grab headlines. And Labour don’t have a plan to bring more investment to our town. Which is why, to build on our gains, local people need to vote Conservative on 2nd May.
