GETTING ON WITH THE JOB IN BLACKPOOL
In 2019, people in Blackpool voted for change. And residents are saying that after years of being ignored by a Labour MP, they’re starting to see the signs of progress.
So far, the government has delivered 612 new police officers for Lancashire, secured £100million funding to level up Blackpool and transform our town centre. And we’re investing millions in upgrading A&E facilities at Blackpool Victoria. But with the government set to make even more big investment decisions, the Blackpool South by-election on 2nd May will be crucial to our future.
Some local people are saying that if we let Labour back in now, just a few years after we voted for change, they’ll ignore our priorities all over again. And now that residents have chosen me as their Conservative candidate for the upcoming by election, the choice is clear. Only Labour or Conservatives can win here. Reform just wants to use our area to play politics and grab headlines. They don’t care about our concerns or delivering change for Blackpool. And a vote for them will just let Labour in anyway. And instead of delivering for our community, Labour, whose candidate described Jeremy Corbyn as “inspiring”, will focus on playing politics in Westminster. And that will put the progress we’re making at risk. That’s why lots of residents are saying they’ll stick with the plan that’s working and vote for me at this by election.
